Preventive care and dental insurance go hand-in-hand. Why? The reason is that your insurance company wants you to take proactive measures to ensure your oral health is in the best shape it can be. Not only does it keep you out of the dentist's chair, but it also keeps your costs low and the insurance company from having to pay for more extensive (and expensive) surgeries or treatments. Unfortunately, as hard as you try, problems can still arise, and when they do, you’ll be glad you have dental insurance. At Brookwood Dental, your Cigna Dental dentist wants to ensure you get the most out of your dental benefits, which is why we have a team who will be happy to assist should you need help in navigating your policy.
With your Cigna dental insurance, you can expect to have a plan that includes the following types of coverage:
If you’re wondering how your Cigna dental insurance works, allow us to break it down for you:
It is always best to use your benefits before the year is over because unfortunately, they do not rollover. The moment the clock strikes midnight on January 1, everything is reset back to zero. It’s also strongly encouraged that you see an in-network provider.
As an in-network provider, you will be guaranteed the lowest price for the highest quality of dental care. This is because we have negotiated terms and services with the insurance company in order to be considered in-network. This will benefit you when filing a claim for the services you received.
However, just because it is encouraged that you see an in-network provider doesn’t mean you have to. At Brookwood Dental, we’re happy to help all patients who come through our doors.
As Brookwood Dental’s expert insurance coordinator, Diane has been a member of our team since 2018. Diane earned an associate degree in business from Arcadia University, and with more than 25 years spent in the industry, she is happy to help all patients better understand their dental insurance coverage. Whether it is filing paperwork or claims, she is the person to see. Not only does she understand the process, but she can help you get the most out of your benefits, so you don’t lose valuable money or forgo necessary treatment.
